UnderstandMyScan is a breast imaging education platform designed to help patients better understand commonly used breast imaging terminology, findings, procedures, and recommendations.

Educational resources may address topics such as mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, breast density, BI-RADS categories, callbacks, additional imaging, biopsies, common breast findings, pathology terminology, and frequently asked questions.

UnderstandMyScan may make these resources available directly through its public website or through co-branded educational portals, printed materials, QR codes, communication templates, and other resources offered in partnership with participating breast centers or healthcare organizations.

Educational Purpose Only

All information provided through UnderstandMyScan is intended for general educational and informational purposes only.

The content is not individualized medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Educational information may explain the general meaning of medical terminology or common recommendations, but it may not apply to every patient or clinical situation.

Patients should consult their radiologist, breast imaging center, ordering clinician, or other qualified healthcare professional regarding personal imaging results, symptoms, recommendations, diagnosis, or treatment.

No Patient-Specific Medical Services

Unless a separate service is expressly offered under written terms, UnderstandMyScan does not:

• Review or interpret a patient's mammogram, ultrasound, MRI, or other medical images
• Independently interpret an individual radiology report
• Provide a second opinion
• Diagnose a medical condition
• Recommend individualized treatment
• Replace the official radiology report
• Replace communication with a patient's healthcare team
• Provide emergency or time-sensitive medical services

No Physician-Patient Relationship

Accessing or using UnderstandMyScan does not create a physician-patient relationship between the user and UnderstandMyScan, its owners, physician contributors, employees, contractors, or licensors.

Viewing educational content, scanning a QR code, following a link from a breast center, or accessing a co-branded educational portal does not create a physician-patient relationship with UnderstandMyScan.

A separate physician-patient relationship may exist between a patient and the healthcare professionals or organization responsible for the patient's care.

Relationship With Participating Breast Centers

UnderstandMyScan may collaborate with breast centers, hospitals, health systems, radiology practices, or other healthcare organizations to provide patient education resources.

A participating organization may direct users to UnderstandMyScan through its website, patient portal, result letters, printed materials, QR codes, or other communications.

Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement:

• UnderstandMyScan does not provide the participating organization's medical services
• UnderstandMyScan does not control the organization's clinical decisions
• UnderstandMyScan is not responsible for scheduling, imaging interpretation, diagnosis, patient notification, medical follow-up, or treatment provided by the organization
• The participating organization remains responsible for the healthcare services it provides
• General co-branding does not mean that educational content is a patient-specific medical recommendation

Appropriate Use of the Website

Users agree to use the website only for lawful and appropriate purposes.

Users must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, hosting environment, administrative systems, or other accounts
• Interfere with the website's operation, security, performance, or availability
• Introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or harmful content

No Submission of Personal Medical Information

The public website and its general contact or partnership inquiry forms are not intended for submission of personal medical information.

Users should not submit:

• Mammograms, ultrasound images, MRI images, or other medical images
• Medical record numbers
• Insurance information
• Detailed medical histories
• Personal health information
• Information about an emergency or urgent medical concern

Questions about personal results, symptoms, appointments, recommendations, or medical care should be directed to the user's healthcare provider or breast center.

Emergency and Time-Sensitive Concerns

UnderstandMyScan is not an emergency service and should not be used to evaluate or manage urgent medical concerns.

If a user believes they may be experiencing a medical emergency, they should call 911 or seek immediate emergency medical care.

Accuracy and Availability

The UnderstandMyScan name, logos, designs, slogans, and related branding may not be used in a manner that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without authorization.

Names, logos, and trademarks belonging to participating breast centers or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

Feedback and Suggestions

If a user voluntarily provides general feedback or suggestions about the website or educational content, UnderstandMyScan may use that feedback to evaluate or improve its services without an obligation to compensate the user.
